What a Stage Manager Does:

Stage Managers are key in ensuring a smooth run of show for live, virtual, and hybrid events. They are quick thinkers who are able to troubleshoot at a moment's notice. Stage Managers work closely with Executive Producers to ensure that they understand every minute of the event and every detail that is needed to be executed.  

During an event, you will find Stage Managers on headset giving all live cues, staying in constant communication with the Executive Producers and stakeholders. This position is also known as a Show Caller or Stage Director.  

Additional Stage Manager positions include, but are not limited to:  

Assistant Stage Manager 

Assistant Stage Managers assist the Stage Manager with speaker management and monitoring physical or virtual green rooms. This position is also known as Deck Manager or Speaker Support.
